WARSAW, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

WARSAW STARTS EARLIER
The Warsaw bourse begins trading 30 minutes earlier at 9.00
am (0700 GMT). It will continue to close at 4.30 pm.
BANK PEKAO
Polish consumer watchdog will conclude its probes into
merger of UniCredit's <CRDI.MI> Polish units Bank Pekao
<BAPE.WA> and BPH <BPHW.WA> in a week's time, Parkiet daily
reports.
The newspaper quotes the regulator's head Malgorzata
Krasnodebska-Tomkiel as saying the merger hurt the consumers'
interest.
GETIN
ING Securities raised its target price for financial
services company Getin Holding <GETI.WA> to 12.99 from 12.91
zlotys, citing strong first-half earnings. []
JUTRZENKA
Erste Bank cuts confectionery producer Jutrzenka <JUTZ.WA>
to 'reduce' from 'hold' and set the target price at 47.5 zlotys.
ASSECO POLAND
Erste Bank raised software maker Asseco Poland <SOBK.WA> to
'buy' from 'accumulate' and set the target price at 74.4 zlotys.
OTP
Insurance company OTP Garancia Biztosito and OTP Bank
<OTPB.BU> Romania sold their stakes in Romanian insurance
company OTP Garancia Asigurari to Groupama International,
Nepszabadsag's Hungary Around the Clock service reports.
RIGIPS
Rigips Romania, a unit of French building materials maker
Saint-Gobain <SGOB.PA>, plans to invest 70 million euros in a
plant near Turceni, southwestern Romania, daily Ziarul Financiar
reports.
TRANSGAZ
Romanian state-owned gas distributor Transgaz <TGNM.BX>
plans to sell its 0.02 percent stake in local distributor Wirom
Gas, Business Standard writes.
EUROPEAN MARKETS
European stock index futures pointed to a lower start on
Monday as investors fretted about the impact of Hurricane Gustav
while concerns about corporate technology spending hurt tech
stocks globally.
