Prague, March 6 (CTK) - The Czech crown has been stable around Kc28.15 per euro and Kc21.46 to the US dollar despite a regional uptrend this morning, the Patria Online server said.

The other currencies in the region have extended Monday's gains, but the crown has ignored them, said Patria analyst Tomas Vlk.

He added stock markets were attempting a positive correction today, but nervousness persists. No news from home has appeared, and the market is waiting for Wednesday's foreign trade data for January.

The crown could stay put during the day, but US data may affect the market in the afternoon, said Vlk.

"The crown should stay at the current level unless there are swings on global markets," he added.

The dollar has been relatively stable at $1.3115 per euro, although a gradual correction has taken place after Monday's firming of the US currency.
