BRATISLAVA, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

JANUARY JOBLESS DATA
The Labour Office (UPSVAR) is expected to publish January
jobless rate data. Analyst surveyed by Reuters expected
unemployment to rise to 12.7 pecent from 12.26 percent in
December.
KYOTO PERMITS TRADING
The environment ministry will inform about trading with
Kyoto carbon credits (CO2 emmission), news conference 0830 GMT.
Slovakia plans to sell 27 million tonnes this year.
ROMANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER TO VISIT SLOVAKIA
Slovak Foreign Minister Mikulas Dzurinda will meet his
Romanian counterpart in Bratislava, news conference 1020 GMT.
SLOVAKIA MAY OPEN BOOKS ON BOND TAP ON THURS-SOURCE
Slovakia may open books on a planned tap of a syndicated
issue of 2016 bonds <SK6YT=RR> as early as Thursday, a source
connected with the issue said on Wednesday.

CZECHS, SLOVAKS PLAN HUNGARY POWER MARKET COUPLING
The Czech and Slovak grid operators will look to combine
their power markets with Hungary as a step toward integrating
the central European region with western electricity markets,
they said on Wednesday.

COALITION FRAGILE MAJORITY SURVIVES
The ruling coalition of Iveta Radicova retained a slim
majority in the parliament, after three deputies from junior
governemnt party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) backed away from a
plan to leave, adding they plan to form a new party next year.

ACTION AGINST HIGHT ELECTRICITY PRICES EYED
The economy ministry plans crack down on what it sees as
high electricity prices, mainly for corporate clients, driven by
subsidies for green-energy sources and coal producers. The
ministry wants to boost competitiveness on the market.
