EU OVERSIGHT: Central bank Vice-Governor Mojmir Hampl said
planned European banking sector oversight is flawed by taking an
EU-wide view while decisions will have a local impact. For
example, decisions that are good for parent banks could be bad
for their local subsidaries.

SOLAR TAX: The state is considering a 26 percent tax on
solar plants of at least 30 kW connected to the grid in 2009-10.
The tax would compensate distributors that are obliged to pay
the higher rate on solar power.
