BRATISLAVA, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

markets on Monday.
JUNE INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT
The Statistics Office will publish June industrial output
data. Analysts polled by Reuters expected a 25.0 percent rise on
the year, following a 31.0 percent jump in May.
SIX-YEAR BOND AUCTION
The finance ministry's Debt and Liquidity Management Agency
(ARDAL) will auction a six-year, 3.5 percent-coupon state bonds.
It is the fifth tranche of the paper.
FLASH FLOODS INUNDATE CENTRAL EUROPE, 15 DEAD
Rescue workers sought to clear flood-borne debris including
damaged cars and evacuate victims after heavy rains and stormy
winds across central Europe killed at least 15 people over the
weekend.

FINMIN SEEKS TO SLIM CIVIL SERVICE
Finance Ministry decided to cut ministries' funds, for
employees wages, by 10 percent as it seeks a cut to the
expenditure side and slim the civil service. Ministry wants to
save 300 million euro thanks to this measure.

ELECTRICITY PRODUCER SEEKS HIGHER PRICES
Energy Centre, Slovakia's minority electricity producer,
seeks a 5 percent hike in electricity prices as of autumn. Other
power companies, however, saw no reason for an immediate
increase due to favourable market conditions.

GOVT ESTIMATES HIGWAY PROJECTS COSTS AROUND 5 BLN EUR
Slovakia's planned highway projects could cost more than 5
billion euro ($6.60 billion) the Transport Minister Jan Figel
said, suggesting to use EU's Structural Funds and money from the
private pension system to co-finance these projects.

OPPOSITION COULD BACK TIGHTER IMMUNITY
The strongest opposition party SMER, led by former Prime
Minister Robert Fico, said was ready to negotiate with the
centre-right coalition a draft constitutional law seeking to
tighten the parliament deputies' immunity.

VOLKSWAGEN SLOVAKIA RESTARTS PRODUCTION
Volkswagen Slovakia, unit of Germany's car group Volkswagen,
will restart its production on Monday after a regular two-week
summer holiday. The company is one of Slovakia's top and key
exporters.
