WARSAW, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

ENEA
Polish utility Enea set a minimum initital public offering
price for sector investors at 19.25 zlotys ($6.57) and for
institutional and individual investors at 17.33 zlotys, in said
in a prospectus posted on its web site. []
PBG
Polish builder PBG <PBGG.WA> raises its 2008 net profit
forecast by 37 percent to 195 million zlotys.
POLICE
Polish <PICE.WA> fertliser maker Police will cut this year's
investments to 150 million zlotys from 220 million due to
worries that the market turmoil may hit demand for its products,
its chief executive tells Parkiet.
PKN ORLEN
Poland's top oil company PKN Orlen <PKNA.WA> will publish
its revised strategy at the end of November instead of October
as it needs to review the planned capital expenditure of 21
billion zlotys, Rzeczpospolita reports without giving sources.
PKN chief executive tells the daily the company will not
give up plans to obtain its own oil deposits and may act as a
junior partner in a consortium with access to oil fields.
BANCA TRANSILVANIA
Romanian lender Banca Transilvania <BATR.BX> and the
International Finance Corporation will sign a 102.5 million euro
loan agreement on Thursday. The money will be used to finance
the bank's development plans.
BUCHAREST BOURSE
The Bucharest Stock Exchange has raised the maximum allowed
daily variation band for stocks to 40 percent, from 15 percent
at present, Ziarul Financiar writes.
INTERBANK GUARANTEES
Poland's government is drawing up plans to guarantee
interbank transactions as part of efforts to buttress trust in
the banking sector, a deputy finance minister tells Reuters.

PKO BP
Poland's second-largest bank PKO BP <PKOB.WA> has no need to
tap liquidity-boosting measures offered by the central bank last
week, the chief executive of the state-controlled lender said on
Wednesday. []
EUROPEAN MARKETS
European equities were seen falling on Thursday, echoing
losses in the United States and Asia amid concerns over the
