BUDGET GAP: Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek said he would
make up for the shortfall in state revenue from the
Constitutional Court's cancellation of the building savings tax
by taking the needed 6 billion crowns from flood subsidies or
similar sources that are not binding by law.

SOLAR POWER: A lawyer representing solar power producers
said that the constitutional court's ruling on Wednesday which
struck down the building savings tax due to retroactivity was
likely to be applied also on the withholding tax that the
government imposed on solar power. He said the court will likely
to annul the solar tax if it is to be consistent.
