=========================PRESS DIGEST==========================
BUDGET CUTS: Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek said the
government could declare a state of legislative emergency in
Parliament as a way to push through the budget cuts needed for
the 2011 budget. This would mean that the Senate, now dominated
by the leftist Social Democrats, and which has the power to
delay the measures, could only delay the approval by ten days,
and not 30 days as it could do otherwise. [] Prime
Minister Petr Necas said declaring legislative emergency in this
case was highly unlikely.
