plant Temelin will extend its planned outage of Unit 1 by
roughly one week due to unplanned works on a water technical

EXPORT DROP POINTS TO ECON WEAKNESS, RATE CUT: The Czech
foreign trade balance remained in surplus in August, but a slump
in exports pointed to economic weakness ahead due to poor demand
in the euro zone and raised chances of an interest rate cut in

CZECH GROWTH MAY DROP BELOW FCAST: Czech economic growth may
drop below the central bank's forecast due to the poor outlook
for external demand, the bank said in the minutes of its Sept.

SUPPORT FOR U.S. RADAR STRENGTHENS: Public support for a
U.S. missile defence radar rose, a survey by Factum Invenio
showed, with the number of supporters rising to 38 percent from
24 percent.

CZECH FINIMIN AGAINST EUROPEAN RESCUE FUND: Finance Minister
Miroslav Kalousek said he could not by any means support
creation of a pan-European fund aimed to rescue banks.

SKODA SALES SLACKEN: Car sales at Skoda Auto, a unit of
Germany's car maker Volkswagen <VOWG.DE>, have grown around 4-5
percent in September, Skoda's sales director Fred Kappler said.
He added double digit growth rates seen in past years are over.

CEZ SALE HALTED: The government, which is the majority
shareholder in CEZ <>, will not sell for now the
remaining 2 percent of the total 7 percent in the power group
that it had planned to sell, Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek
said, pointing to the negative developments on global equity
