JULY EU-NORM INFLATION
The Statistics Office will publish July EU-norm inflation
data, 0700 GMT. Analysts expected July prices to fall by 0.1 on
the month, for an year-on-year rate of 0.6 percent.
GOVERNMENT MEETING
Government will hold an extraordinary meeting to debate
financial compensation for families of 20 victims of Monday's
coal mine explosion.
GDP FALL SLOWS IN Q2, BEATS FORECASTS
The Slovak economy contracted by a real 5.3 percent
year-on-year in the second quarter of 2009, data showed on
Thursday, a smaller fall than in the first quarter and a better
result than market forecasts.

SLOVAKIA SEES 2010 FISCAL DEFICIT AT 5.5 PCT/GDP
Slovakia plans to cut the fiscal deficit to 5.5 percent of
the GDP next year from an expected gap of slightly above 6
percent in 2009, the finance minister said in an interview with
Bloomberg on Thursday.

ALL BODIES OF VICTIMS OF SLOVAKIAN MINE BLAST FOUND
Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of all victims of an
explosion which killed 20 miners in Slovakia's worst mining
disaster, the mine operator said on Thursday.

MINIMUM WAGE NEGOTIATIONS
Labour, Social Affairs Ministry has proposed a 8.1 percent
increase in the minimum wage. Employers reiterated such a hike
in the time of a recession and weak industrial production
threatens jobs and hurt businesses.

SKYEUROPE VS VIENNA AIRPORT
Slovakia-based low-cost airline SkyEurope, currently under
the court's protection from creditors, needs to pay its debt to
the Austrian Vienna Airport by Friday midnight, or risk that the
airport will not operate SkyEurope's flights.

CARBON EMISSION DEAL
Japan confirmed talks with Slovakia on the sale of excess
CO2 allowances, under the Kyoto Protocol, adding price-bid per
tonne was similar to deal with Hungary, at around 10 euro.
Slovaks sold its credit for 5 euro a tonne to a little-know
Interblue Group.
