AUG PPF ABOVE FCAST, C/A GAP SHRINKS: Czech factory gate
prices jumped above expectations in August, but analysts said a
plunge in food costs had bolstered the outlook for an
inflationary retreat and the central bank may still cut interest
rates.

C/A GAP MUCH SMALLER THAN FCAST: The Czech current account
posted a deficit of 0.31 billion crowns ($17.68 million) in
July, less than the market forecast of a 16.1 billion crown gap,
data showed on Friday.

AUG PPI 0.4 PCT UP: Czech industrial producer prices rose
0.4 percent in August from July, faster than market forecasts,
putting the annual rate at a three-and-a-half-year high of 5.7
percent, from July's 5.2 percent.

pay $100 million to ConocoPhillips <COP.N> as damages for
failing to sell one-third of Czech Benzina's filling stations to

PPF OFFERS STAKE IN PRAGUE BOURSE: Czech privately owned
financial group PPF has offered its 12.12 percent stake in the
Prague Stock Exchange (PSE) to Vienna Stock Exchange. The
Austrian bourse had said it was interested in acquiring a
majority stake in the PSE slated for sale by the end of the
year.
