second-quarter net profits drop due to financial losses caused
by the sharp appreciation of the forint currency.

 Electrical equipment maker Electroputere <EPUT.BX>,
controlled by Saudi Arabia's Al Arrab, is seeking to borrow 70

                                 BUCHAREST BOURSE
                                 Romania started selling state securities on the Bucharest

                                 Polish builder Polimex <MOSD.WA> reports a 9-percent rise in
second quarter net profit, in line with expectations, as high
debt costs erased most gains from rapidly growing sales.
