constitutional court adjourned a hearing on a legal challenge to
the European Union's Lisbon reform treaty on Tuesday and said it
would probably deliver a ruling next week.

LEFTIST LEAD SHRINKS: The Czech left-wing Social Democrats
(CSSD) saw its opinion poll lead over the main rightist party,
the Civic Democrats (ODS), narrow ahead of an election in
mid-2010, a survey showed on Tuesday.

CEZ COAL DEAL: Power group CEZ <> is close to a
settlement of a long term dispute with brown coal miner Czech
Coal. In a planned deal, CEZ would swap its Pocerady coal fired
plant for Czech Coal's mine CSA, the paper reports, quoting an
unnamed Czech Coal source.
