FINAL Q2 GDP DATA
The Statistics Office will publish final year-on-year GDP
growth data for the second quarter, 0700 GMT. Flash estimate,
released in August, showed economy contracted by 5.3 percent in
the April-June period.
REAL AVERAGE WAGE
The Statistics Office will publish real average wage for the
second quarter, 0700 GMT.
UPDATED GDP, INFLATION FORECASTS
The Statistics Office will publish its updated economy
growth and inflation forecasts, 0700 GMT.
GOVERNMENT MEETING
Government will hold its regular weekly meeting, 0800 GMT.
No major economic items on agenda.
CENTRAL STATE BUDGET DATA
Finance Ministry will publish January-August central state
budget data.
SKYEUROPE FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY, HALTS FLIGHTS
Low-cost airline SkyEurope <SKYV.VI> has filed for
bankruptcy and suspended all flights, the company said on
Tuesday after it lost a struggle to restructure debt and cope
with sinking revenues.

THOUSANDS OF SLOVAK HUNGARIANS PROTEST LANGUAGE LAW
Thousands of ethnic Hungarians protested in the Slovak town
of Dunajska Streda on Tuesday against a new language law that
has stoked already heated tensions between Slovakia and
neighbouring Hungary.

SLOVAKIA TO END CO2 DEAL WITH US INTERBLUE GROUP-GOVT
Slovakia will terminate a contract with a small U.S. company
to sell excess carbon emission rights, a deal that led to the
sacking of an environment minister, Vice Prime Minister Dusan
Caplovic said on Monday.

CZECH, SLOVAK POWER MARKETS INTEGRATED
The Czech and Slovak day-ahead electricity markets were
integrated on Monday, a move aimed at removing barriers for
power trading between the two, the Czech grid operator CEPS
said.

SKYEUROPE LEAVES 280,000 TICKETS IN VAIN
Bankruptcy of Slovakia-based airline SkyEurope <SKYV.VI>
left some 280,000 sold tickets in vain, estimates showed. Local
tour operators said some 8,000 - 10,000 were left stranded
abroad at the moment.
