Langer has plan how to abolish IT Ministry --Euro

Prague, Sept 17 (CTK) - New Interior Minister Ivan Langer, who is also in charge of the IT Ministry, wants to submit an amendment to the law on powers to serve for the abolition of the IT Ministry, weekly Euro writes today.

Langer plans to split the IT Ministry into two sections. The first one will be for operation, economy, legislation and foreign relations. Langer wants to entrust a current IT deputy minister the management of this section

The second part is to be divided into two sections. The first one, focused on e-government, is to be headed by Jindrich Kolar who was in charge of informatics in Czech Post Office Ceska posta.

The second one will be in charge of telecommunications under expected management of David Stadnik, former chairman of the Czech Telecoms Office (CTU).

In the future, Langer expects telecommunications to be transferred under the Transport or the Industry and Trade Ministries.
